Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Director of Sales to lead the account management team while actively driving revenue growth for the business. This role requires a hands-on leader who can manage, mentor, and develop the sales team while personally engaging in sales activities to secure key business opportunities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate catering sales, a proven track record of exceeding revenue targets, and excellent leadership skills to drive team performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop a high-performing 7-person sales team
- Set clear performance goals, sales targets, and KPIs for team members
- Provide coaching, mentorship, and performance evaluations to enhance productivity
- Foster a positive, motivated, and results-driven sales culture
- Oversee business development and client retention efforts
Sales and Business Development
Identify and pursue new sales opportunities in the corporate event marketGenerate leads through networking, cold calling, and industry eventsConduct sales presentations, site visits, and tastings with prospective clientsClose deals to meet or exceed sales targetsSales Strategy, Execution & Client Experience
Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and sales performance data to refine strategiesCollaborate with the CMO on promotional campaigns, sales materials, and strategic outreach eventsWork with the CMO to strategize and close key account salesChampion and ensure delivery of superior client care across all sales touchpointsPartner with the CMO to ensure smooth service delivery and guest satisfactionAlign sales efforts with company-wide objectives and long-term goalsRepresent the company at industry events and networking opportunitiesQualifications & Skills
5+ years of experience in a sales leadership roleStrong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a sales teamStrategic thinker with the ability to analyze data, forecast trends, and implement effective strategiesHands-on sales expertise, including business development and client relationship managementStrong ability to identify, engage, and close salesExcellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skillsSelf-motivated with a proactive approach to salesProven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targetsSeniority level
