Key Responsibilities :
As a Staff Accountant within Robert Half’s FTEP Program, you will :
- Assist in the preparation, review, and analysis of financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable guidelines (e.g., GAAP).
- Manage transactional accounting, including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and general ledger reconciliations to ensure timely and accurate processing.
- Perform month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, accrual adjustments, and account reconciliations.
- Prepare and maintain supporting schedules for financial audits, tax filings, and other compliance-related activities.
- Analyze complex accounting issues and propose recommendations to resolve discrepancies and improve financial processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information, troubleshoot issues, and ensure deliverables are met within deadlines.
- Support financial reporting and variance analysis to assist management in decision-making.
- Stay up-to-date on changes in accounting regulations and best practices to apply in client engagements.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications, skills, and attributes :
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.2+ years of experience as a Staff Accountant or in a similar role.Proficient with accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle) and Microsoft Excel (pivots, lookups, etc.).Strong knowledge of GAAP and familiarity with financial reporting standards.Attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple assignments in a deadline-driven environment.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-focused mindset.Ability to quickly adapt to a variety of industries and company cultures.
