Headquartered in Alpharetta, GA, with offices in Farmington Hills, MI, AGC Glass Company North America supplies high-quality products to the automotive, construction, and specialty glass markets. Join our fast-paced, high-tech, team environment and help us keep production moving.

A day in the life

You arrive for 1st shift and run a quick safety and tool check. A line calls for help — you diagnose the issue, reference the equipment manual and work order, and bring the machine back online with a clean, safe fix. Between calls, you execute preventive maintenance, verify critical settings, and log completed tasks. In the afternoon, you swap a worn hydraulic component, trace an electrical fault with a meter, fine-tune a pneumatic circuit, and assist on a robotics or PLC-related adjustment. Throughout the day you keep your area orderly, watch for abnormal machine behavior, flag defective material, and communicate findings to supervision.

What you’ll take on

  • Install, commission, and sustain production machinery and facility equipment.
  • Triage and complete emergency / unscheduled repairs during production; perform scheduled service during machine downtime.
  • Execute basic machining tasks as needed to support repairs and parts fabrication.
  • Apply mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic skills to troubleshoot and restore equipment performance.
  • Use equipment manuals and work orders to guide accurate maintenance actions.
  • Diagnose faults, replace / repair components, test, and adjust to specification.
  • Run routine preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant utilities.
  • Work confidently with hand / power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment.
  • Identify and report abnormal operations, safety concerns, or defective materials.
  • Maintain compliance with safety standards and keep a clean, orderly workspace.
  • Pitch in with other duties as assigned to support team goals.

Your background

  • Problem-solving toolkit exposure (Six Sigma, Fishbone / Ishikawa, KT, 8D) preferred.
  • Comfort reading / interpreting equipment manuals and work orders.
  • Solid hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and industrial maintenance capability.
  • PLC experience / knowledge is a plus; robotics experience preferred.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
  • Physical and schedule requirements

Ability to bend, twist, reach, perform repetitive arm movements, lift up to 50 lbs., stand on concrete for extended periods, and work mandatory overtime. Role is 1st shift. This is an hourly position with a wage rate up to $32.00 per hour (based on experience and competency).

    Pay and benefits

We offer a competitive compensation package including base salary plus a structured bonus plan with quarterly bonus potential of up to 10.5% of quarterly eligible earnings, comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, paid vacation, 14 paid holidays, 401k with Company match, free uniforms, safety boot reimbursement program, prescription safety glasses (frames and lenses) and opportunities for career advancement.

Join a team that builds what the world drives

Bring your craftsmanship and curiosity to a place where safety, precision, and teamwork power every shift.

Equal Opportunity Employer – To be considered, applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
