Trenchless Services Senior Construction Consultant

Overview

Join HDR as a Trenchless Services Senior Construction Consultant . This role supports the execution of design and field services associated with trenchless services : engineering, design, and construction applications. The Senior Construction Consultant will report to the Trenchless Services Engineering Lead and contribute to HDR's national Trenchless Services team.

Responsibilities

• Provide Construction Oversight for Trenchless installations.
• Conduct constructability reviews of Trenchless engineering efforts.
• Conduct daily reviews of deliverables for Trenchless construction activities.
• Conduct site visits during preliminary engineering efforts.
• Conduct Route Assessments for Trenchless aspects of Pipeline Siting & Routing efforts.
• Oversee Trenchless Construction Oversight activities (coordinating staffing, developing / reviewing CM scopes).
• Engage in client interface to support Business Development for Trenchless services.
• Coordinate subcontractor activities, scheduling, and quality control.
• Prepare the Project Management Plan or Construction Management Plan.
• Develop procedures for executing construction contract administration and implement them with the project team.
• Perform additional construction management activities, including procurement development, schedules, subcontract scopes, review of terms, constructability / value engineering reviews, estimating, and progress reporting.
• Administer and manage construction activities and monitor progress relative to the design.
• Perform value engineering and constructability reviews.
• Coordinate local bidding efforts for field quotes.
• Assist in procurement of purchase orders and subcontract packages.
• Coordinate document management and review construction submittals (shop drawings, pay applications).
• Prepare, issue, and negotiate Change Orders.
• Review and analyze construction schedules and manage project budgets and schedules.
• Coordinate and manage project quality assurance, control, and inspection services.
• Ensure subcontractor compliance with the Health and Safety Program through communication and inspections.
• Prepare and update project schedules, pay requests, and progress reports.
• Take responsibility for project setup and temporary facilities.
• Perform other duties as needed.

The compensation range varies by location and experience; the targeted salary range for this position is $135,000 - $165,000.
