First year Roto-Rooter drain service technicians can expect top-pay, earning $55,000, on average. Pay increases quickly with each year of experience to an average yearly income between $65,000-$85,000.

Roto-Rooter provides an initial 8 weeks of paid sewer and drain service training, plus continuing training is available if you want to learn the plumbing trade and pursue a journeyman plumber's license.

Responsibilities

• Roto-Rooter drain service technicians use their skills to provide solutions to sewer and drain problems.
• A service call begins with diagnosing problems then providing cost estimates to close the sale.
• Unclog and clean sewers and drains for the customer using Roto-Rooter equipment and tools.
• Document estimates and invoices, both in writing and on a provided smartphone.
• Collect payment and move on to the next service call.
