Warehouse Cargo Specialist
Is responsible for the handling, storage, and transportation of cargo within the warehouse, ensuring that all operations comply with safety standards, company policies, and regulations.
Minimum Requirements :
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Computer and data entry experience
- Must have a reliable means of communication and transportation
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must be able to sit, stand, lift and / or bend throughout shift and climb stairs
- Must be able to lift, carry, and / or hold up to 70 lbs.
Preferred Requirement :
Cargo experience in import and export and trackingPrevious customer service experienceMust be able to work in a fast pace environment and meet deadlinesMust be able to obtain and maintain a local airport badge, driver's icon and customs border patrol sealWarehouse and / or forklift experienceMust be able to provide necessary documentation that authorizes you to work in the United StatesJob Specifications :
Actively participate in Safety Management System (SMS)Treat all information as confidentialAble to process airway billsPerform inventoryInform all authorized parties concerning movement of airline's aircraft and cargoCompile, dispatch and receive all messages pertaining to cargo handling operationPrepare / process cargo documents, air and way billsAnswer airline's telephone and take appropriate action when necessary and / or requiredObtain customers clearance of inbound cargo and prepare all necessary procedures as requiredTrack all cargo manifest for cargo transfersConduct physical inspections and screenings of packagesPrepare the unit load device receipt for all transfers and distribute copies according to airline protocolPossess the tact to deal with all levels of situations, client representatives, employees and the publicCustomer notification- advise customers via email, telephone and or written of arriving shipmentsAirway bill input- complete airways bills required data entry and update computer record as well as reviewing all paperwork to ensure accuracy and completionMust be familiar with all FAA / airline guidelines and regulationsKeep immediate supervisor informed of needs and problems in assigned areas, maintain cleanliness of immediate work area and report maintenance needsProject a positive image and respond to inquiries from client, staff and public in a courteous mannerUtilize appropriate communications channels and maintain records, reports and files as requiredMust be in proper uniform attire as directed by company standardsAdhere to company policies, procedures etc...Utilize company and client equipment, supplies and resources in a conscientious, cost effective mannerPerform other duties based on the company's needsComply with all safety requirements to include only using equipment that you have been trained on, immediately reporting unsafe conditions and workplace injuries, wearing proper PPE, and attending required safety training
