Part-Time Administrative Assistant – Social Work Program
Mount Mercy University campus is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Administrative Assistant to support the Social Work academic program. This part-time, 10-month position plays a key role in maintaining the day-to-day operations of the program, supporting faculty and students, coordinating field placements, and ensuring data accuracy for accreditation purposes.
Key Responsibilities :
- Maintain and develop databases for student records, field placements, surveys, and accreditation metrics
- Coordinate logistics for program events and faculty-community meetings
- Support faculty with clerical work, data collection, and research-related administrative tasks
- Manage communication channels and provide a professional and welcoming reception for students, faculty, and agency partners
- Create promotional materials using Publisher and other tools
- Order and track office supplies; manage accurate digital and physical filing systems
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive academic and student records
Essential Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or education preferredAt least four years of relevant administrative or clerical experienceProficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Publisher) and ability to learn new database systemsStrong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks independentlyExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially in handling sensitive or confidential informationProfessional demeanor with a customer service-oriented approachBenefits :
