Nebraska VR is hiring a Business Account Manager to build relationships with stakeholders within the community, support business needs, and create opportunities such as work-based learning partnerships, on-the-job training, and job openings to help meet VR client needs. Office Location : This position is assigned to our office located at 84th & O St, Lincoln, NE.

Pay Grade 7 : $30.597 / hour. This rate is based upon available budget funds; any offer will be made at this rate.

  • Essential Functions :

  • Conducts meetings with local and regional employers to assist with identification of staffing skill requirements, support needs, and training preferences.
  • Establishes and fosters strategic partnerships among businesses, professional and trade associations, unions, and other business and industry partners to implement programs. Enters data into and monitors the employer database.
  • Develops and implements training and development opportunities in areas such as the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 503 Federal Contractor Requirements.
  • Provides information and responds to inquiries related to employment opportunities that meet client goals and skills of job-ready clients.
  • Explores and develops marketing activities in collaboration with VR marketing staff.
  • Working Conditions and Travel :

    This position requires approximately 30% of work time spent in an office environment; the remaining 70% is spent traveling or working in alternative sites such as meetings, partnering businesses, career centers, and other VR offices. There is also approximately 5 days of overnight travel per year.

    Requirements / Qualifications :

    Minimum Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in a related field and three years of experience related to the essential functions of the position. Any equivalent education and / or work experience may be substituted in order to meet the minimum qualifications of the position.

    Preferred Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Counseling related fields, and demonstrated success within a VR Program working with businesses and employers, establishing and maintaining partnerships. Experience working with individuals with disabilities and developing and presenting trainings.
