Through this journey, we've developed a suite of internal solutions uniquely designed to meet the challenges of a digital-first, cloud-first business at scale. The Capital One Software team is exploring how these internal solutions across cloud, data, governance, and applications could serve the needs of other companies born or built in the cloud.

We are seeking a strategically minded Senior Director and top notch problem solver to provide financial leadership to Capital One Software's business. This person will sit on the Capital One Software leadership team and directly support members of our Executive Committee. This role will create business cases to help evaluate expected return on investment for various initiatives across the software business, including model creation, consolidation of results, and overall coordination of the process for both the business and in conjunction with Card Finance. This role requires strong customer focus and partnering abilities, problem solving, strategic thinking, executive level communication, and influencing skills in order to effectively :

Articulate outcomes of analysis, along with relevant insights and recommendations

Partner with business leadership to assess the financial implications of ongoing efforts to grow the organization, specifically as we add new products

Communicate business and analysis results to senior leadership audiences

Responsibilities :

Applies integrative thinking skills to help build a scalable software business

Create guardrails to forecast revenue, and the marginal cost of adding new products

Drives multiple projects by providing thought leadership and working closely with highly specialized subject matter experts across strategy, finance, and corporate development

Communicates analytic insights through clear, high impact, "executive-ready" presentations - Develops analytic frameworks to solve critical questions and guide strategic decision making

Leverages sound business judgment and logic to evaluate analytical results and formulate recommendations which include supporting rationale

Builds relationships across the organization by partnering with peers and senior leaders throughout the company

Lead and build a team of associates to support the business

Basic Qualifications :

Bachelor's Degree or military experience

At least 12 years of experience in Finance, Business Analytics, Accounting, Strategy Consulting, or a combination

At least 2 years of experience managing a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function

At least 5 years of people management experience

Preferred Qualifications :

Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics

Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Master's Degree in Finance

Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) license or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license

10+ years of experience managing a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function

10+ years of people management experience including both direct & indirect reports

5+ year of experience working with Startups

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

McLean, VA : $234,000 - $267,100 for Sr. Director, Financial Mgt

New York, NY : $255,300 - $291,300 for Sr. Director, Financial Mgt

Plano, TX : $212,800 - $242,800 for Sr. Director, Financial Mgt

Richmond, VA : $212,800 - $242,800 for Sr. Director, Financial Mgt

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter. This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and / or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
