TURRET LEAD - DECATUR AL Pay Rate $22.00 - $25.00 POSITION SUMMARY : Frontline communicator to Turret and Laser Operators, assigns daily assignments and assists the operators as needed to produce parts to support customer requirements. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES : Utilizes the Work Center Dispatch Report in due date order to coordinate workflow scheduling Exceptions will be communicated by production control or operations manager. Must be able to perform all job requirements of a Turret Operator and Laser Operator. Must be able to train operators in job details, safe operation of equipment and safety awareness. Assists the operators with set-ups, tooling changes, questions and workload responsibilities. Keep Operations Manager advised of work status, workload, problems and progress as related to work assignments. Must be able to read and interpret drawings, follow routers and use simple math to perform basic calculations. Complies with all quality policies, specifications, regulations and instructions. Update computer records and paperwork in accordance with production requirements. Maintain work area and equipment in clean orderly condition, performs preventative maintenance, light maintenance tasks of equipment and follows prescribed safety procedures. Ability to work with chemicals, solvents and lubricants. Must have a working command of the English language and be able to communicate orally and in writing. MARGINAL FUNCTIONS : While the following tasks are necessary for the work of the department, they are not an essential part of the purpose of this position and may also be performed by other department members. Perform all other duties, as assigned. Lift / Carry parts ranging from 10 lbs. – 20 lbs. occasionally up to 2.5 hours a day. Lift / Carry parts ranging from 20 lbs. – 50 lbs. occasionally up to 2.5 hours a day. Vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. QUALIFICATIONS : Ability to perform essential duties High school diploma or equivalent Strong skills in Turret and Laser Operation Prior leadership experience
