CDL Driver

CDL / Inspector

The CDL / Inspector will drive or fly out to locations to finalize deals for the Purchasing Department. The CDL / Inspector will inspect trucks before bringing them back to the dealership. This position will require advanced negotiating skills as well as a basic mechanical understanding of heavy-duty vehicles. Punctuality is essential in this position.

Key Responsibilities / Essential Job Functions :

• Drivers must be on call and available Monday Friday and two weekends a month
• Notify management a week in advance of any days you will not be available
• Ability to work weekends if desired
• Negotiate with sellers
• Inspect trucks and be able to identify mechanical and cosmetic issues
• Account for expenditure and follow company spending policies
• Ability to handle cash and follow chain of custody
• Adhere to the Truck Purchasing Preparation Checklist
• Understand and follow company policy pertaining to spending and credit card use
• Performs other job duties assigned by management
