Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Seeking a Special Education Teacher for a full-time, onsite contract position in Detroit, MI, serving high school students in grades K-12. This role is ideal for educators experienced in Special Education (SPED) who are ready to support approximately 13-14 high school students during the 2025-2026 school year.

Key Responsibilities :

Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each students needs.
Deliver specialized instruction and support to students with diverse learning challenges.
Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to create an inclusive learning environment.
Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
Maintain accurate records and provide regular updates to parents and administration.

Qualifications :

Valid Special Education teaching certification.

Experience working with K-12 students, preferably in a high school setting.

Strong knowledge of special education laws, best practices, and instructional techniques.

Ability to manage a classroom of approximately 13-14 students with varied learning needs.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
