The Role

We are seeking software engineers in Orlando as part of the core team developing DirectX / Direct3D drivers for AMD desktop / laptop systems. In this role, you will work with the very latest hardware and software technology with a focus on D3D driver quality, improving the performance of key applications and benchmarks, and support for new Direct3D 12 features.

Key Responsibilities

The development, debugging, and performance tuning of graphics software running on Microsoft Windows

Collaborating with ASIC design engineers and hardware / software architects, OS engineers and peers in related development teams

The ability to debug low level hardware and operating system functionality is desired

Preferred Experience

Excellent C / C++ programming skills

Experience programming and optimizing games

Knowledge of computer hardware architecture and organization

3D Graphics API knowledge and experience (D3D, OpenGL, or Vulkan)

3D graphics driver knowledge and experience

Windows development experience

OS and performance knowledge and experience

Experience with multi-threading and concurrent programming

Familiarity with performance analysis tools

Academic Credentials

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
