Description :

This position is for a Travel RN specializing in Labor and Delivery.

The unit has a total of 12 Labor and Delivery beds, 8 triage beds, and 11 antepartum beds.

The staffing includes a charge nurse, RNs, technicians, and a secretary on each shift.

The patient ratios are 1 : 2 for Labor and Delivery, 1 : 3-4 for triage, and 1 : 4 for antepartum.

The type of equipment used includes Centricity and GE monitors, and the electronic medical record system is Meditech.

Typical procedures performed in the unit include vaginal and cesarean deliveries, D&C, hysterectomy, postpartum tubal ligation, cerclage placement, and versions.

The unit serves high-risk obstetric patients.

The ideal candidate should be a team player and flexible.

Candidates with travel experience and PACU experience are preferred.
