WORK SHIFT : Monday-Friday | 3 : 00 PM - 11 : 30 PM
SUMMARY
The Manufacturing Supervisor leads and supports production operations to ensure the achievement of safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives. This role champions continuous improvement, builds high-performance teams, and fosters a culture of safety, accountability, and lean manufacturing.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide daily leadership and direction to manufacturing team members in a fast-paced, continuous improvement environment.
- Champion and lead Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Implement and sustain 6S and safety programs to maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Coordinate work assignments and monitor team performance
- Act as a coach and mentor for production staff, ensuring adherence to quality and productivity standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure production schedules, quality targets, and customer requirements are met
- Complete administrative tasks in the MRP / ERP system, including scheduling, job tracking, and data validation
- Ensure production metrics are accurate, visible, and used to drive improvement
- Develop and train team leads in production processes, performance metrics, and system usage
- Promote and model company values, culture, and safety expectations
- Recommend and implement improvements to production methods, equipment utilization, and product quality
- Work collaboratively with other supervisors and departments to ensure operational alignment
- Participate in Lean activities and support a culture of continuous improvement
- Perform other duties as assigned
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervise manufacturing personnelResponsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, performance evaluations, and corrective actionsEnsure compliance with company policies and labor regulationsQUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED requiredAssociate degree preferredMinimum of 5 years of experience in electronics manufacturing preferredAt least 3 years of supervisory experience requiredInternal candidates must have a minimum of 2 years in a Lead roleSKILLS & ABILITIES
Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skillsSolid understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement principlesAbility to read and interpret manufacturing documentation and quality standardsWorking knowledge of ERP / MRP systems (e.g., job tracking, scheduling, validation)Excellent verbal and written communication skillsBasic math proficiency and ability to interpret performance metricsAbility to analyze production data and identify opportunities for improvementLANGUAGE & COMMUNICATION
Must be able to read, speak, and understand EnglishStrong communication skills across all levels of the organizationPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
