About us :
Palos Verdes Golf Club is a private club located in the middle of an 800-acre parkland preserve overlooking Santa Monica Bay with ocean views visible from several holes. Established in 1924, the golf course has long been referred to as "a hidden gem" and the clubhouse is a designated historical building by the Palos Verdes Historical Society.

Essential duties include but are not limited to :
Approach all interaction with Members, guests, and colleagues in a courteous, service-oriented mannerRemain attentive, friendly, helpful, courteous, and respectful to Members, guests, managers and fellow employees at all timesMonitor building security by locking doors after operating hoursMonitor building safety by checking electrical appliances used to ensure that hazards are not createdMaintain cleanliness of all Clubhouse areasCheck carpet, tables, chairs, window ledges, window panes, wall, and vents for dust, debris, stains etc. and thoroughly clean daily and / or as neededDust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment; clean and polish furniture and fixturesClean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees; ensure windows remain free from hand prints and smudgesInspect, service, clean, and supply all restrooms daily and as neededGather and empty trash from all Clubhouse trash bins, including administrative officesRemove stains from fabric, upholstered furniture, and carpetClean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and / or vacuumingStrip, seal, finish, and polish floorsSand, stain, and / or paint furniturePaint walls or other structural surfacesLaunder towels and other items as neededFollow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixturesMix water and detergents or acids in containers according to specifications to prepare cleaning solutions; mix paint, ingredients, or chemicals, according to specificationsMaintain clean and organized Storage Room and Maintenance officeNotify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systemsRefer Member or guest problems or complaints to management as soon as possibleRequisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance dutiesAttend trainings and All Staff Meetings as required / requestedPerform other duties as requestedQualifications and Skills :
Excellent verbal communication, organizational, and follow-through skillsAbility to read, and comprehend memos, correspondence, and special instructionsFriendly, punctual, and proactiveHigh level of client services, professionalism, and attention to detail; professional appearance appropriate for a premier country clubProblem solving, reasoning, and "thinking out of the box"; ability to apply common sense understanding to better serve our internal and external guests' needsAbility to read, comprehend, and abide by the rules of the PVGC Employee HandbookAbility to work a flexible schedule including weekends, and holidaysExperience and Education :
