Job Description
A day in this role
When the line starts up, you’re there—walking the floor, listening for anomalies, and checking dashboards to confirm equipment is performing to plan. A mid-morning call comes in : a conveyor is faulting. You isolate the issue, troubleshoot the electrical controls, swap a failed component, test the fix, and bring production back online. In the afternoon, you pivot to scheduled service—executing preventive tasks, making adjustments from the latest work orders, and updating logs to keep our predictive and productive maintenance programs on track. You wrap by tidying your area, stowing tools, and flagging any defective material or unusual conditions to supervision.
What you’ll do
- Install, maintain, and repair production machinery and facility equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Respond to emergency / unscheduled breakdowns during production and perform scheduled maintenance during service windows.
- Apply multi-craft skills—mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic—to troubleshoot and restore equipment to optimal performance.
- Carry out basic machining tasks and fabrication as needed to support repairs.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and work orders to plan and execute maintenance activities.
- Diagnose faults, replace or repair components, verify operation through testing, and fine-tune settings.
- Execute routine preventive maintenance on machines, systems, and plant infrastructure to improve reliability.
- Use hand and power tools, electrical meters, and material handling equipment safely and effectively.
- Identify faulty operations or defective materials and promptly report abnormal conditions to proper supervision.
- Follow all safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
