About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner for a 50-day locum tenens assignment in Texas. This role begins on Nov 6, 2025, and offers 8 and / or 12 hour shifts with a guaranteed 30-40 hours per week. Providers must be comfortable working independently as the sole provider in an urgent care setting and demonstrate flexibility with scheduling throughout the contract.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Serve as the sole provider in an urgent care setting
  • Deliver comprehensive urgent care to patients with a variety of conditions
  • Assess, diagnose, and manage acute and non-emergent medical issues
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation of patient encounters
  • Collaborate with support staff to provide quality patient care
  • Maintain compliance with all relevant clinical protocols and guidelines
  • Additional Information

  • Must have at least 2 years of recent urgent care experience
  • Current license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in Texas required
  • Ability to adapt to varying patient needs and clinic workflows
