Senior Financial Analyst

THE POSITION

Washington County's Land Use & Transportation is now hiring a Senior Financial Analyst to join the Administrative Services Division!

The Position

The Senior Financial Analyst is a critical function within the department. This role supervises 3 Financial Analyst who manage budgets for Capital Project Services, Engineering, Traffic and Survey, and Operations and Maintenance divisions of LUT. This role share responsibility for budget development and monitoring, and department financial support to include : development of the fee schedule, department cost plan development, cash flow analysis on special and capital funds, state financial reporting, and annual asset reporting. In addition, t his role is responsible for interpreting budget requirements, following state budget laws and County budget compliance requirements, reviewing historical data, and predict future trends related to financial forecasting. • Public budgeting, fiscal management, and administration
• Governmental finance and accounting practices, principles, and procedures
• GAAP and GASB rules
• Principles, practices, methods, and techniques of financial analysis and forecasting
