As a Security Officer - Access Control - Full Time in Brookhaven, MS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment for staff and visitors. Your presence and attention to detail will contribute to a positive atmosphere, while your customer service skills will support daily operations. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required. Pay Rate : $14.50 / Hour

Job Schedule : DayTime

Mon 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

Tue 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

Wed 06 : 00 AM - 02 : 00 PM

Thur 06 : 00 AM - 02 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Monitor and control access to the logistics and distribution location, verifying credentials of employees, visitors, and vendors to help to deter unauthorized entry.
  • Provide customer service by assisting individuals with inquiries and directing them as needed while maintaining security-related procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific policies and protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter potential security-related issues and report any irregularities.
  • Document and report all security-related activities, observations, and incidents according to Allied Universal and client site requirements.
  • Support emergency response activities as directed by site procedures, including assisting with evacuations or lockdowns when appropriate.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
