Network Engineer

Description

Requirements and skills - Proven hands-on network engineering experience. Ability to look at our configurations and be able to quickly provide a high-level explanation of what the configurations are doing. - Solid understanding of the OSI and TCP / IP model and ability to troubleshoot problems (e.g., what is a TCP RST and why would it be a problem?). Ability to walk through a layer 4 conversation within a packet capture. - Deep understanding of networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS, OMP, GRE). - Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools including; Solarwinds Orion, Wireshark, PingPlotter, Netflow, Nmap, ThousandEyes, etc. - In-depth understanding and practical knowledge of network topologies and types of networks (e.g., WAN, LAN, Datacenter, SDWAN overlay, underlay, DMZ, public, private, on-prem, cloud, etc.) - Ability to analyze and evaluate networks, identify issues, and provide solutions to ensure networks are operating efficiently. - Ability to design, implement and troubleshoot enterprise Aruba wireless architecture and multi-vendor security infrastructure. - Time management - Ability to manage several projects simultaneously from design to implementation - Ability to communicate technical information to other technical team members but also to coworkers in other departments who may not have knowledge of networking technical terminology

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $55.00 / hr.
