Overview
The Community Coordinator acts in lieu of family, providing a variety of services to the Sisters of Notre Dame residing at Notre Dame du Lac.
Responsibilities
- Foster community among the sisters
- Provide transportation for sisters to MD appointments and log the visit, diagnosis and any medication changes
- Dispense medicine, take blood pressure and wound care
- Ability to give medical assistance for invasive medical needs
- Visit sisters in the hospital and in rehabilitation settings
- Accompany sisters to ER as needed
- Coordinate transportation for family visits, retreats, days of prayer, unit meetings
- Respond to concerns of sisters
- Assist sisters with personal budgets as needed
- Make purchases for the sister-residents as needed
- Assist Sisters with accessing opportunities for prayer and reflection
- Keep sisters up to date regarding happenings in their units and in the ND international community
- Facilitate birthday and holiday celebrations
- Be available for emergencies; provide coverage on a 7-day rotating schedule and on-call (including nights and weekends)
- Maintain confidentiality
