Job Description

Job Description

Field Service Representative – Stair & Rail Installation

Location : Multiple Territories Across the Southeast

Join a team that’s raising the bar — and the ceiling.

Who We Are

At Summit Stairs & Millwork, we take pride in building high-quality stair and millwork products — and in the people who make that possible every day. From the production floor to the front office, our team brings craftsmanship, hard work, and a commitment to getting the job done right.

We’re part of the MBP Group, a family of building product brands that includes Marwin, HB&G Building Products, Millwork 360, and SS Industries (SSI). Together, we support residential and commercial construction projects across the country with a shared focus on quality, service, and solutions that make our customers’ jobs easier.

If you’re looking to join a company where your work matters — and where every role contributes to the bigger picture — you’ll find it here.

Where You Come In

As a Field Service Representative at Summit, you’ll be the face of our brand on the job site — supporting residential builders by ensuring our stair systems, rails, treads, and flooring are installed correctly, safely, and on time.

You’ll partner directly with project managers, subcontractors, and builders to solve problems, lead punch-out efforts, and support installation crews. This is a travel-based role covering a designated regional territory.

We’re looking for someone who’s confident on a construction site, comfortable leading conversations, and committed to making sure our customers get the quality and service they expect from Summit.

What You’ll Do

On-Site Support & Installation Oversight

  • Conduct job site visits to verify readiness and review installation requirements
  • Perform field measurements and take-offs to ensure accuracy prior to installation
  • Lead or support punch-out work and service needs for stair systems and rails
  • Ensure proper fit, finish, and function of installed products

Project Communication

  • Serve as the on-site point of contact for customers and subcontractors
  • Communicate proactively with internal teams on schedules, issues, or delays
  • Build strong relationships with builders and field teams
  • Troubleshooting & Quality Control

  • Identify and resolve any installation issues or customer concerns
  • Ensure safety, craftsmanship, and compliance with Summit’s standards
  • Train and support installation crews as needed
  • Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records of job site visits, field measurements, service calls, and punch lists
  • Provide timely updates to leadership and customer service
  • What You Bring

  • 2+ years of experience in field service, stair installation, trim carpentry, or related construction trades
  • Confidence on residential construction sites and with builder interactions
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on, can-do attitude
  • Ability to read blueprints and understand installation drawings
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required
  • Pay & Schedule

  • Hourly rate based on experience.
  • Full-time, travel-based role.
  • Must be available for daily travel within assigned territory.
  • Why Summit

We’re building more than products — we’re building a team. At Summit, every role matters, and every person has the opportunity to grow, lead, and make an impact. If you're ready to take ownership of your work, solve problems in the field, and represent a company that backs its people — we’d love to meet you.
