Med / Surg Telemetry RN Job Details

Location : Sioux Falls, South Dakota (zip : 57105) – South Dakota nursing jobs

Healthcare Setting : Acute care – Medical / Surgical & Progressive Care Units

Assignment Length : 13 weeks (Start : 10 / 20 / 2025 – End : 1 / 19 / 2026)

Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week

Shift : 12-hour night shifts; every other weekend and holiday required

Estimated Weekly Pay : $2140–$2290

Dress Code : Navy blue scrubs

Charting System : Epic EMR

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active SD or compact state Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing

Minimum 1 year of recent Med / Surg Telemetry RN experience

BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA required)

Proficiency in Bipap, Cpap, Heated High Flow, oxygen titration, moderate sedation, telemetry, and medical-surgical patient care

Ability to float to Med-Surg units as needed

Specialty nursing certification preferred

Med / Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities

Provide safe, high-quality patient care to adults with diagnoses such as pneumonia, COPD, CHF, COVID-19, pulmonary embolism, and more

Manage patients requiring oxygen therapy, IV medications, moderate sedation, chest tubes, tracheostomies, post-op care, non-invasive and mechanical ventilation, and cardiac monitoring

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes

Participate in unit orientation, competency validation, and ongoing professional development

Advocate for patient safety, quality care, and continuous improvement

Engage in committees and initiatives focused on patient experience, performance improvement, and service excellence
