Position Overview :

Join a leading healthcare team at CHI Health Good Samaritan as an OR (Operating Room) Tech. This dynamic role involves supporting a busy surgical unit that operates 10 rooms and handles approximately 23 cases daily, including general, neuro, and orthopedic procedures. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced OR Techs to contribute their skills in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.

Key Responsibilities :

Provide sterile and non-sterile support to surgical teams during various procedures including general, neuro, and orthopedic surgeries.

Prepare operating rooms, ensuring all equipment and supplies are sterile and ready for use.

Assist surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff by passing instruments and maintaining a sterile field.

Monitor patient safety and comfort throughout surgical procedures.

Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control procedures.

Participate in on-call rotations, including nights and weekends, to ensure continuous patient care.

Certifications and Licenses :

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) is required.

Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is mandatory.

Valid state license as applicable.

What You Bring :

Proven experience as an Operating Room Surgical Technologist, preferably in a busy hospital setting.

Strong understanding of sterile techniques and infection control standards.

Excellent teamwork and communication skills to coordinate effectively with surgical teams.

Flexibility to work on-call, including nights and weekends.

Ability to quickly adapt to evolving clinical situations with professionalism and confidence.

Commitment to patient safety and quality care.

Preferred Education & Experience :

High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in Surgical Technology or related field preferred.

Minimum of 2 years of OR experience in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Experience with neuro, orthopedic, or general surgeries is highly desirable.
