Roles and Responsibilities :

The Quality Engineer will be responsible for understanding the needs of internal and external customers and to develop effective quality processes to consistently deliver products that meet or exceed customer expectations. Quality management activities contributing to the identification and evaluation of current policies and business processes that are in the scope of the Quality Management System and to support the design, development, and documentation of new policies, procedures, and business processes.

Primary Duties :

  • Write protocols and reports such as IQ, OQ, PQ, CAPA's, process capability, etc.
  • Conduct internal and external quality audits.
  • Review and troubleshoot any OOS condition and determine root cause, corrective / preventative action, and appropriate disposition.
  • Utilize SPC data to drive production improvements to deliver consistent quality products.
  • Lead on-boarding of new SKU's.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Workplace Requirements :

  • Actively practice safety in all aspects of the job.
  • Know and practice proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Know and recognize quality products and practices, and take action when defects are identified.
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that promotes respect and teamwork between coworkers, customers, vendors, supervisors, and management.
  • Able to lift 25 - 50lbs consistently.
  • Education :

    Bachelors' Degree in a scientific discipline or equivalent work experience. American Society for Quality (ASQ) Quality Engineer certification preferred.

    Experience :

    Minimum of five (5) years quality experience required. Previous supervisory experience or the demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously. Basic technical writing skills required.

    Other Qualifications :

    Ability to work flexible hours as needed. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to relate well to internal and external customers. Possess the ability to establish rapport with direct reports, must have proven ability with positive team building skills, leading by example.
