Responsibilities This is a float pool RN position for Progressive Intermediate Step Down units in a hospital setting Assignment location spans multiple facilities within a 60-mile radius of the designated city center in the float zone Night shifts are 12 hours in length, three shifts per week Floating required to any assigned site within the designated float zone as needed Unit assignments and duties may vary based on facility needs and could include responsibilities outside the primary specialty Patient population includes progressive intermediate and stepdown level patients EPIC charting system is used and prior EPIC experience is required or preferred No local candidates accepted; must reside outside a 60-mile radius from the float zone center Key duties include comprehensive patient assessments, implementing care plans, medication administration, and supporting patient / family education Responsible for delegating tasks according to policy and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams Must display adaptability to varying work environments and assignments as needed Flu vaccination required during flu season unless a valid medical exemption is provided Dress code, holidays, and further orientation details provided during onboarding Previous travelers may only work a maximum of one year per assignment before a mandatory break Requirements Active CO or compact RN license required at time of consideration; pending licenses are not accepted Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred Minimum one year of recent PCU / stepdown nursing experience preferred American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications required NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required National Nursing Certification (ANCC approved) strongly preferred Ability to float to multiple facilities within a 60-mile radius Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-619654.
