Surveying / Construction Technician

We are seeking a Surveying / Construction Technician to join our multi-disciplinary consulting firm, who has a desire to be a part of our growing land surveying and engineering company, and has the following skills and qualifications :

Job Responsibilities :

Conducting field survey efforts for roadway, site, and energy design projects using Trimble GNSS, S-Series Total Stations, and Trimble data collectors

Serving as the technical lead for survey efforts

Computer skills in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, and Microsoft Office

Providing support to construction projects and staff by collecting as-built documentation and / or staking improvements

Accurately compiling survey data, calculations, and deliverables

Communicating effectively internally and externally

Researching previous survey evidence, including maps, deeds, physical evidence, and other records, to obtain data needed for surveys

Processing survey work and deliverables, offering valuable input and contributing to project success

Qualifications and Education Requirements :

3+ years of field survey experience; an Associates Degree in Land Surveying is beneficial, but not required

A sense of ownership and collaboration in a team environment

A valid driver's license and reliable transportation, either personal or company vehicle, to travel to worksites, meetings with clients, and attend conferences (this position primarily utilizes company provided vehicle(s))

To be legally authorized to work permanently (i.e., without time limitations, restrictions, or need for work sponsorship) in the country where this position is located

To occasionally travel out-of-town and overnight for professional development and / or project-related work
