About The Position

Experience : Minimum 1.5 years in Stepdown or Progressive Care Unit

License : Active Registered Nurse License

Certifications : BLS, ACLS, Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) preferred

Must-Have :

Must have oncology experience.

Sickle cell experience and chemotherapy certification are strongly preferred.

Must have EPIC experience.

Must pass an online EKG tele competency assessment before starting the assignment.

Must be able to read and interpret EKG strips.

Must be available to work every other weekend and holiday.

Description :

This position requires a nurse with experience in oncology, particularly in a medical and radiation oncology unit.

The unit sees both Med Surg and Advanced Care patients with a focus on blood products and chemotherapy.

The targeted patient ratios are 1 : 4 but can be up to 1 : 5-6.

Nurses will float to all Stepdown and Advanced Care units.

Travelers will be the first to float at the discretion of the facility.

The assignment may require support for high-risk respiratory units.

The facility reserves the right to cancel shifts due to low census.

No RTO requests will be accepted after the submission of the application.

References are not required.
