Armed Security Officer - Administrative Building Patrols

As a Patrol Armed Security Officer in San Antonio, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail / Malls, and more. As a Patrol Armed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment at a retail location. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service to those you interact with. This armed position requires you to respond promptly to situations and uphold our values of integrity, teamwork, and a people-first mindset. Pay Rate : $15.50 / Hour

Job Schedule : DayTimeMon 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PMTue 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PMWed 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PMThur 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients, following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding appropriately to emergency situations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations at the retail location in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols inside and around the retail establishment and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter theft, vandalism, or other unwanted behaviors within the retail environment.
  • Report security-related incidents and observations according to Allied Universal protocols.
  • Assist with access control and / or monitoring entry and exit points as needed for the retail location.
  • Communicate professionally and courteously with customers, staff, and visitors while upholding Allied Universal standards.
  • Remain alert to potential disturbances or security-related hazards, and respond according to site protocols.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Must possess a valid armed guard card or license as required by applicable laws and regulations.
  • Must have Level III armed certification if working in Texas.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
