Scope of Position

Under supervision of the Corps Officer, the function of the cook is to provide meals, create weekly menus and maintain a clean kitchen, as well as maintaining good public relations and giving prompt, courteous assistance as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

• Have a current Food Handlers Certification issued by the Oregon Department of Human Services.
• 3 years paid or volunteer experience directly related to specific responsibilities.

Under supervision of the Corps Officer, responsible for participating in the team effort required to maintain the efficient operation of The Salvation Army in Umatilla County.

Responsibilities

Creating monthly menu

Responsible for maintaining good public relations and providing prompt, courteous assistance as needed.

Sweeping and mopping kitchen and dining area

Qualifications

Experience

Associate Degree in Culinary Arts. (preferred) Five years paid or volunteer experience directly related to the specific responsibilities. Oregon Restaurant Association Food Handler Certification. (preferred) 3 years paid or volunteer experience directly related to specific responsibilities. (required)
