About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse (RN)

Profession : Nursing

Duration : 12 weeks

Shift : 36 hours

Hours per Shift : 3 shifts of 12 hours each; 9 : 00 AM - 9 : 30 PM for 1 shift and 7 : 00 AM - 7 : 30 PM for 2 shifts.

Experience : Minimum years of experience required.

License : Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state or holds a compact / multi-state license as a Registered Nurse in a recognized compact state.

Certifications : Must have a current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider Card.

Must-Have : Ability to scrub and circulate.

Description :

To provide nursing care for patients following established standards and practices in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act.

To apply professional nursing theory and practice to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.

Constant interaction with internal and external customers, including patients, families, physicians, employees, and visitors.

Responsibilities include :

Performing patient assessments reflecting physical, psychological, socio-cultural, spiritual, cognitive needs, and functional abilities.

Planning and prioritizing care based on assessments, evaluating patient progress, and revising care to achieve expected outcomes.

Demonstrating clinical competencies in specific areas of practice as described in departmental performance standards.

Assessing patient / family learning needs, planning and providing education, and evaluating the effectiveness of teaching.

Identifying and responding appropriately to ethical issues in patient care while serving as a resource for others.

Initiating collaborative dialogue with physicians and coordinating multidisciplinary activities for patient care.

Acting as a patient advocate to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and core measures.

Providing nursing care in a non-judgmental manner that respects patient diversity and acknowledges patient rights.

Identifying resources to meet unique patient needs and achieving optimal clinical and organizational outcomes.

Additional duties may be assigned as required.

The physical demands of the position include frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting / moving patients.

Exposure to blood, body fluids, and infectious materials is possible.

The work environment may include moderate noise levels and requires work under stressful conditions or irregular hours.

Candidates should be able to assess situations and apply critical thinking effectively.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to react calmly in emergency situations are essential.
