You will lead work crews in a construction and maintenance environment, including prioritizing and assigning tasks, assuring rules and regulations are observed on the job site, and performing other construction and maintenance activities as required.

We Require :
Two years of experience in skilled construction or maintenanceHigh school diploma or GEDA combination of post-secondary education and / or job-related experience may substitute for the minimum qualifications on a year-for-year basisMust possess a valid Arizona Commercial Class A Driver's License (CDL)State and federal regulations require Maricopa County to conduct a pre-employment safety history investigation for all positions that require an applicant to possess a commercial driver's license (CDL)We Also Value :

Lead work crews performing construction and maintenance activitiesPrioritize and assign tasks; ensure that all safety rules and regulations are observed on the job siteMonitor and enforce adherence to division policies, procedures, and standardsSupervise the repair of roadway surfaces, culverts, shoulders, and guardrailsSupervise traffic control activities as needed; report safety hazards; perform tasks in the interest of public safety and property protection during emergenciesOperate a variety of trucks, equipment, and hand tools in accordance with all safety regulations and proceduresComplete work orders to meet Division standards; prepare daily activity and material, and equipment usage reportsTransport work crews to and from work sitesInstruct crew in the proper use and maintenance of equipmentPerform a variety of miscellaneous support tasks and other duties as assignedWorking Conditions :
