Science Writer / Journalist

A company is looking for a Science Writer / Journalist to enhance the visibility of its Underground Explorers Program through compelling storytelling and media engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Research, report, and write science-based stories highlighting UEP discoveries and impact

Build and maintain relationships with media outlets, securing features and interviews for UEP scientists

Track and report on communication outcomes to assess the impact of media visibility on UEP scientists

Qualifications

Experience in science journalism or environmental reporting, particularly in biodiversity or climate science

Ability to translate complex scientific research into engaging content for general audiences

Strong record of published work in reputable media outlets

Fluency in English and Spanish preferred, with the ability to write and pitch in both languages

Background in communications, journalism, or environmental sciences is beneficial
