Senior Transportation Systems Supervisor

The Department of Public Works is currently recruiting for a Senior Transportation Systems Supervisor who will be responsible for overseeing Placer County transit operations within the Tahoe Truckee Area Regional Transit terminal. The ideal candidate will have leadership and supervision experience, as well as a good working knowledge of transit operations, contemporary office software, and on-board transit equipment and technology. This position will oversee the site supervisor and will assist with planning, organizing, and directing transit systems daily operations, as well as delegating employee workload, conducting employee performance evaluations, and using a number of tools and methods to perform a variety of technical tasks relative to the assigned area of responsibility. This position will report to the TART terminal in Tahoe and will require an individual highly skilled in the transportation field.

Minimum Qualifications : Experience : Five years of increasingly responsible experience in transportation system planning or management, including two years of supervisory responsibility. Training : Equivalent to a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in transportation management, public or business administration or a related field.
