Overview

The Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy is a nonprofit membership organization created to preserve the Golden Gate National Parks, enhance the experiences of park visitors, and build a community dedicated to conserving the parks for the future. We seek private contributions for the parks and work in collaboration with the National Park Service and Presidio Trust to improve park sites, enlist volunteers in restoration projects, provide education programs, and engage diverse audiences in the national parks at the Golden Gate.

Position Overview

The Associate Director, Corporate Relations and Grants will work to advance a range of grants, sponsorships and enterprise strategies, including preparation and submission of solicitations and reports to multiple foundations, corporations and government agencies. This position will report to the Director of Strategic Philanthropy and the Director of Philanthropic Programs. The Associate Director, Corporate Relations and Grants will also supervise a Grants Assistant, and work very closely with program and project staff, with frequent coordination among park partner agencies. Our grants team is responsible for securing $3 million annually from foundation and governmental sources. (Revenue goals may be adjusted each year.)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Foundation and Government Grants (40%)

• Responsible for preparation and submittal of foundation and government grant solicitations, budgets, and reports.
• Take the lead in building and maintaining ongoing relationships with specific current foundation and government donors.
• Oversee maintaining accurate, timely records of all grants activity including updating data and creating reports from Raiser’s Edge database.
• Oversee maintaining schedule for grants submission deadlines and reporting deadlines. Ensure all deadlines are met.

Corporate Fundraising (35%)

Organizational Management (15%)
