Location : UCHealth UCHlth Admin 2450 Peoria, US : CO : Aurora

Department : Pharmacy IP

Schedule :

  • Full Time, 1.0, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks).
  • Mainly working Monday-Friday from 12 : 30 pm to 9 : 00 pm (evenings), rotating through 1 in 4 weekends.
  • Rotation through major winter and summer holiday block.
  • Schedule adjustments may be required based on business needs, with adequate notice provided.

Pay : $21.49 - $27.94 / hour, depending on relevant experience.

Summary

As a Medication Reconciliation Technician, you will play a crucial role in the healthcare team by efficiently obtaining and documenting patients' home medications in the electronic health record. This position requires you to be comfortable interacting with patients in various settings, including patient rooms in the ED and inpatient units. Ideal candidates are self-motivated with the ability to maintain a fast-paced work environment without direct supervision. We are specifically looking for technicians who wish to remain in this role for several years.

Requirements :

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Pharmacy Technician certification from the Colorado Board of Pharmacy (PHAT).
  • Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or equivalent.
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • 2 years of Pharmacy Technician experience or 1 year of experience with CPhT certification.
  • Retail Pharmacy Experience.
  • Key Responsibilities :

  • Conduct interviews with patients and their families to compile an accurate list of home medications upon admission.
  • Communicate effectively with retail pharmacies and healthcare providers to gather relevant information.
  • Accurately record patient information in the electronic health record and maintain data integrity.
  • This role requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting.
