Position Specifics :
Department : Commercial Sprayer Division
Reports to : CAD Customer and Product Support Coordinator
Supervises : None
Purpose :
Independently performs complex on-site diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance work on commercial customer application equipment. May require some direction or guidance from the CAD Application Support Specialist and Commercial Sprayer Coordinator. This role will operate independent of the associated location with 100% focus on CAD machines.
Responsibilities :
- Year around priority on Commercial Application Support
- Tech will be responsible for scheduling inspections, PDI's and field calls with CAD Coordinator and CAD Team
- Will need to complete work orders timely and submit to associate location when ready to invoice
- Performs complex on-site diagnostics and repairs on application and established Ag Management Solutions (AMS) products
- Travel assigned territory making contacts with commercial operators and locations
- Develop and implement staff training on commercial application equipment, repair, and service
- Participates in required Service EDUCATE Training programs
- Supports customer clinics
- Review and explain any maintenance, repair, or other service concerns directly with the customer and document on work order
- Work with associated location to utilize shop space as needed
- May promote and sell dealer service programs directly to customers
- May establish and implement effective stocking processes with the Parts Department to maintain the proper seasonal parts inventory in mobile service vehicle
- Maintains current knowledge of John Deere and Hagie applicators and competitive products
- Maintains condition of mobile service vehicle, inventory, tools, and equipment
- Completes all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments
- Accounts for all time and material used in performing assigned duties
- Will fill in as Advanced or Master Service Technician as business need dictate per season
- May require partnering with customers to find and utilize customer shops to perform services for their machines
Qualifications
General Qualifications :
Required to be a Select Technician to support afterhoursFour plus years of experience performing service repairsDemonstrated knowledge of Commercial Application equipmentOutstanding interpersonal and customer service skillsAbility to perform complex repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment following Technical Manual proceduresExpert knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in the repair of agricultural and commercial application equipmentAbility to use Service Advisor and basic computer functionsAbility to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposesAbility to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedlyAdvanced or Master Service Technician certification preferredHigh School Diploma or equivalent experience required; Associate degree preferredPhysical Requirements :
