Seeking Experienced Pediatric Critical Care Physician for Short-Term Coverage (ASAP - Ongoing)

Are you a highly motivated and experienced pediatric critical care physician seeking a locum tenens opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of critically ill children in a dynamic healthcare setting near Stinnett, TX? We are excited to invite qualified candidates to join our team and provide specialized care for a short-term period.

About the Opportunity :

  • Immediate Need : Fill a critical scheduling gap from July 26th to July 31st, 2024.

Responsibilities :

  • Manage the care of critically ill children in the inpatient pediatric critical care unit.
  • Perform comprehensive patient evaluations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Collaborate effectively with nurses, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients' families during challenging situations.
  • Maintain a strong commitment to evidence-based practices and participate in quality improvement initiatives.

    • Qualifications :

  • Board-eligible or board-certified in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine.
  • Eligible for Texas state licensure (temporary privileges available).
  • Minimum two years of experience in a pediatric critical care setting.
  • Strong clinical skills, sound medical judgment, and a passion for caring for critically ill children.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and teamwork abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while thriving in a fast-paced team environment.
  • A calm demeanor and the ability to manage stress effectively under pressure.
  • Current certifications in BLS, PALS, and ABLS.

  • Epic electronic medical record system utilized.
  • Inpatient setting with a bed capacity of 5.
  • Scheduled clinical hours with call coverage included.
  • Decision date for this opportunity is June 28th, 2024.
