The Electronic Benefit Transfer Administrative Assistant is a key contributor to the DFR Central Office, ensuring smooth daily operations and providing essential support to both staff and clients. Your role involves managing the Help Desk inbox, responding to inquiries, and assisting Division of Family Resources (DFR) staff with EBT related inquiries. The assistant is responsible for preparing daily and monthly reports, processing correspondence, tracking client communications, and escalating policy-related questions when necessary. Additional duties include troubleshooting cardholder issues, researching account discrepancies, performing tasks within the EPPIC Admin Terminal, backing up the Program Manager, assisting with claim forms and Benefit Recovery.
The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, keen attention to detail, and a commitment to excellent service.
The salary for this position traditionally starts at $47,320.00 but may be commensurate with education or work experience.
The essential functions of this role are as follows :
- Develop specific service program guidelines, policy and procedures.
- Interpret and implement legislation and regulations from department administration.
- Develop proposals and statistical tools.
- Perform analytical review and maintenance of service-specific data.
- Participate in grant writing process.
- Continually update knowledge of current trends within specific geographical area assigned.
- Collaborate with program development staff, except in those situations where incumbent serves in both capacities.
