Position Overview :

The Software Solutions Engineer is a versatile technical professional responsible for supporting and enhancing the companys enterprise technology ecosystem to improve operational efficiency, data visibility, and system reliability across a manufacturing environment with a strong mergers and acquisitions (M&A) profile.

This role blends hands-on IT support, ERP system management, business intelligence development, and software engineering to ensure seamless technology operations and continuous improvement across all business units.

The engineer will provide daily IT support, maintaining user productivity through hardware, software, and network troubleshooting. They will oversee and document ERP processes, assist users with training and support, and help integrate newly acquired companies into core systems. The role also contributes to the companys data and analytics strategy by developing Power BI dashboards, SQL-based reports, and other BI tools to enable informed, data-driven decision-making.

In addition, the Software Solutions Engineer will develop and maintain custom applications, APIs, and EDI integrations that automate workflows, connect disparate systems, and streamline operations throughout the manufacturing and acquisition lifecycle.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities :

  • Provide IT Help Desk support, managing user requests, troubleshooting hardware / software issues, and maintaining ticket documentation.
  • Support, configure, and enhance the ERP system, including process documentation, user training, and post-acquisition system integration.
  • Create and maintain a knowledge base for recurring IT and ERP procedures.
  • Develop Power BI dashboards, SQL queries, and data pipelines to support business analytics and executive reporting.
  • Build and maintain APIs, web applications, and EDI integrations to automate and connect key business systems.
  • Utilize technologies such as C#, .NET Framework, Python, Power BI and SQL to develop automation scripts, system integrations, and custom tools that support business operations and M&A activities.
  • Support M&A technology onboarding by integrating infrastructure, applications, and data from acquired entities.

Education and Experience :

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications such as CBAP, PL-300, MS-900, DP-900, CCNA, MS-102, AZ-900, MS-102 or CompTIA are preferred.
  • Led successful ERP implementation and user adoption across the organization
  • Facilitated cross-functional collaboration across multiple geographically dispersed locations
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated willingness to learn and adapt to new platforms, technologies, and skills.
  • Strong commitment to organizational goals and aligning technical solutions with business objectives.
  • Proven excellent work ethic and exceptional problem-solving skills.
  • Physical Requirements :

  • Must be able to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 25 pounds as needed.
  • Occasional travel may be required to support remote locations or attend company-related activities.
