Texas Highways seeks an Audience Engagement Editor to deepen our connection with readers through newsletters, engagement campaigns, and other digital communications. This hybrid role combines tactical execution with creative storytelling—ideal for a strong communicator who understands how to grow audiences across digital platforms. You’ll collaborate across editorial, circulation, and marketing teams to drive outreach, engagement, and audience growth. The ideal candidate should be digitally savvy, have strong writing skills, be curious about emerging media and knowledgeable about the state of Texas.
This position reports directly to the Publisher; day-to-day work and strategic planning are led by the Digital Strategy Manager.

Plan, write, build, and send weekly newsletters and special issues
Support business and editorial-led digital campaigns
Monitor reader messages via digital channels; route and respond as appropriate
Perform specific duties as assigned by the Publications Section Director (Publisher) or Division Director
