Director of Project Success

The Director of Project Success for the Kardex AutoStore team in North America will be responsible for leading and overseeing the entire project implementation team and customer portfolio which consists of project management, site management, engineering and software delivery. Job Purpose

Provide strategic direction and leadership to the project implementation team, ensuring successful delivery of all customer projects from handover to completion. Develop and implement project management methodologies, processes, and best practices to optimize project success rates and customer satisfaction.

Lead and mentor a management team across all disciplines of the project implementation team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Set clear performance expectations, provide regular feedback, and support professional development to drive individual and team growth.

Oversee the software design and deployment team, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality software solutions aligned with the FulfillX product. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance software development processes, quality assurance, and product innovation.

Partner with the strategy and partner success team in developing and executing procurement and partner strategies to meet project requirements and timelines. Collaborate with partners and suppliers to negotiate contracts, manage supplier relationships, and drive cost-effective procurement practices.

Collaborate closely with sales teams to understand customer needs, address concerns, and ensure alignment between project objectives and the larger portfolio. Support and collaborate with the sales team with the development of project costings and timelines within the existing portfolio.

Collaborate with the finance team to develop and manage project budgets and forecasts, ensuring cost control and resource allocation optimization. Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and take proactive measures to mitigate them.

Establish and maintain project success metrics, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms. Provide regular updates to senior management on project statuses, key performance indicators, and critical success factors.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role overseeing project management, procurement, and software development functions.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall), procurement strategies, and software development lifecycle.
  • Solid understanding of automated storage and retrieval systems or related technologies.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with internal teams, customers, and senior stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities with a focus on delivering customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a track record of successfully managing complex projects and achieving business goals.
  • Experience in budget management, resource allocation, and cost control.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to drive process optimization and continuous improvement.
