Responsibilities Work in the Labor & Delivery unit with primary responsibility for L&D, postpartum, nursery, and mother-baby couplet care Acute care setting within a Critical Access Hospital Unit has 4 beds and 2 overflow, with 8 to 15 births per month Active labor ratio is 1 : 1; triage patient ratio is 1 : 3-4 Expected to float and take assignments on the Medical / Surgical unit as needed, particularly on night shifts Shifts are 12 hours, primarily night shifts (7pm-7am), with rotating schedule including every third weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) No call requirement Requires rotating and potential additional holiday coverage Use of Epic EMR system Responsible for care of laboring patients, postpartum mothers, newborns, and couplet care Will provide newborn care following C-sections and support postpartum and nursery needs Participation in floor-specific orientation provided for 2-3 shifts depending on comfort level Scrub attire of any clean, untorn color or pattern is acceptable Works alongside permanent staff as part of a collaborative team Holiday coverage rotates with permanent staff and may be increased to meet facility needs Requirements Active MN RN license required for consideration Minimum of 2 years RN experience Required certifications : BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Must have experience with C-sections including prepping (assisting not required, but must provide newborn care post-delivery) Floating experience in Medical / Surgical settings required; must be able to take a patient assignment of 3-4, up to 5 on night shifts Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-622726.
