Hope Solutions seeks an energetic and compassionate Housing Specialist to support young adults enrolled in the Transitional Housing Program Plus (THP+). This program serves youth ages 1825 who have exited foster care, including those previously under probation supervision, and are referred by Child and Family Services. The goal of THP+ is to provide a safe living environment and help participants build the skills needed to live independently.
The Housing Specialist plays a pivotal role in helping participants secure and maintain stable housing. Hope Solutions master leases units to provide transitional housing opportunities where young people can develop self-sufficiency and interdependence before moving into their own leases. The Housing Specialist provides individualized, housing-focused support through housing navigation, landlord engagement, advocacy, and coordination of financial assistance such as rent and move-in support.
This role works closely with the County Coordinated Entry System and community partners to achieve program goals, including reducing the duration of homelessness, increasing permanent housing placements, and minimizing returns to homelessness.
