Business Operations Associate

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Business Operations Associate to join our remote team. This role involves leading the Request for Proposal (RFP) process in a dynamic and deadline-driven environment. The ideal candidate will leverage their strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills to coordinate across various business units, ensuring the delivery of accurate and compelling customer-facing materials.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the RFP process, ensuring timely and accurate completion of proposals.
  • Foster collaboration between different business units, including sales, marketing, legal, and underwriting, to create precise customer-facing material.
  • Respond to inquiries related to our business and offered insurance products and services.
  • Interact with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to ensure proposal deliverables are compliant, competitive, and compelling.
  • Develop final presentation materials and proposals based on solicitation specifications.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in preparing proposals, RFPs, and RFIs.
  • Proficiency with SharePoint, Salesforce, MS Excel, and Adobe.
  • Basic understanding of accounting and interpreting business financials.
  • Experience with vendor billings and payables.
  • Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Ability to serve as a role model and enable success in meeting team and departmental goals.
  • Capability to work autonomously with guidance from professionals as needed.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to explain complex information clearly.
  • Proven ability to take initiative and improve efficiency.
  • This is a remote position requiring 40 hours of work per week, Monday through Friday. The role demands a professional capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting, with opportunities to interact and build relationships with various stakeholders to maximize proposal success.

    This is a Contract position based out of Portland, Oregon.

    The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
