About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Hours per Shift : 12 hours

Experience : Minimum 1 year required, 2 years preferred in Medical Surgical

License : Valid Nursing License required

Certifications : BLS (AHA) required, pending certification acceptable with confirmation of willingness to obtain

Must-Have :

Must be willing to work with a variety of staff (i.e., RN, LPN, Techs).

Must be willing to float to other Med Surg units.

Must agree to work every other weekend.

Flu vaccine required with medical exemptions only.

Description :

No RTO for the first 8 days of assignment.

No holiday requests; dates may be discussed with management to determine unit accommodation.

Staffing ratio varies; typically 1 : 5-6 for nights, flexing to 8 patients with LPN support as needed.

A good mix of medical patients will be encountered, including orthopedic, neurovascular, cardiopulmonary, surgical, GI, urology, hysterectomies, and mastectomies.

Variety of staff work on this unit and other Med / Surg units.

Floating depends on need and typically occurs once per week.

Regular involvement with interdisciplinary teams is expected.

Submit proof of Flu vaccination or exemption within required time frame.

Background checks are mandatory, with particular attention to any hits.
