job_description.job_card.job_descriptionLead, mentor, and develop the Engineering team to meet departmental, site, and company objectives Recruit, train, coach, and motivate personnel to foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement Manage cross-functional teams and ensure alignment with strategic goals Develop and execute engineering strategies from concept to completion Manage systems, resources, and projects to ensure timely delivery within budget Provide strategic technical guidance and resolve complex engineering challenges Lead initiatives to design, develop, and optimize manufacturing and operational processes Drive improvements in efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness Oversee qualification and validation programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards Ensure engineering activities comply with cGMP and other relevant industry standards Serve as a subject matter expert during regulatory inspections and client audits Maintain thorough documentation to support compliance efforts Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to ensure operational continuity and regulatory compliance Establish and maintain effective relationships with external engineering service providers and vendors Ensure quality and timely delivery of outsourced services and components Develop and manage capital and operational budgets for engineering projects and departmental activities Follows applicable standard operating procedures (SOPs) Perform duties following company quality and safety standards Participate in team building, training, and department communications Maintain a high level of personal and professional integrity Perform additional job responsibilities as assigned Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field; Master's degree preferred 8–12 years of experience in operational engineering within regulated life sciences manufacturing (Pharmaceutical, Biologic, Medical Device, Combination Products) Strong technical expertise in life sciences manufacturing processes, equipment, and engineering principles Proven experience managing complex engineering projects in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment Deep understanding of cGMP and other relevant standards and regulations Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate engineering teams and manage cross-functional groups Project Delivery : % of engineering projects completed on time and within budget Process Efficiency : Reduction in cycle time, waste, or downtime due to engineering improvements Compliance : Number of audit findings related to engineering; successful regulatory inspections Cost Savings : Annual cost savings achieved through process optimization or capital improvements Team Development : Employee engagement scores; retention rate of engineering staff Innovation : Number of new technologies or process improvements implemented annually Vendor Performance : % of vendors meeting quality and delivery expectations Risk Mitigation : Number of critical risks identified and resolved proactively Validation Success : % of validation protocols executed successfully without deviation Budget Accuracy : Variance between forecasted and actual engineering spend 401(k) & 401(k) 3% Match AD&D insurance Dental insurance Disability insurance Employee assistance program Flexible spending account Health insurance Health savings account Life insurance Paid jury duty Paid time off Parental leave Referral program Tuition reimbursement Vision insurance
