EXPERIENCE + KNOWLEDGE SKILLS ABILITY (KSA)
- Proficient / / Solid understanding and substantial experience; works independently and efficiently. 4+ years of professional experience, PE may be required.
- Knowledge of standard engineering and scientific techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out tasks. Familiarity with CobbFendley's QA / QC Management System.
- Skills including use of industry-standard computer software for the position (i.e., software such as CADD, HCS, AutoCAD, MicroStation, GIS, and Hydrologic / Hydraulic models).
- Ability to use spreadsheets, word processing, and standard office software.
Responsibilities
Design + Analysis — Complete entire design and analysis for a simple project, ensure latest manual and criteria are being met, sign and seal plans.Work with project team to ensure tasks design and analysis tasks are coordinated.Compliance + Quality — Adhere to Company QA / QC processes and procedures and review work by others. Understand general contract language and risk assessments and mitigation.Communication + Collaboration — Work with supervisor, project manager, task leads, and various internal personnel to complete assignments within discipline and other disciplines. Lead meetings and follow up documentation.Training, Learning + Advancement — Attend internal or external training. Assist with onboarding and training various types of staff.Client + Internal Satisfaction — Work with clients daily, problem solve issues and escalate concerns when needed. Set and adhere to project schedule, attend client meetings, assist with marketing and project interviews, general understanding of financial management to ensure profitability.Work On Projects That Include The Following Scopes

Most work is performed in a professional office environment. Some trips to client offices and outdoor environments for observations will be required.
Seated and Standing Position. Extended periods of sitting and standing in an upright position at a workstation.Mobility. Movement within the office and job sites, including navigating between floors, workstations, and outdoor environments with potential for uneven surfaces.Neck Movement. Forward flexion, extension, or lateral rotation of the head and neck while using multiple computer screens.Repetitive Motion. Repetitive finger movements for operating a computer mouse and typing on a keyboard.Arm Movement. Extending hands and arms in various directions, such as overhead, below the waist, forward, or laterally.Object Handling. Raising or lowering objects from one level to another and transporting objects by holding them in the hands, arms, or over the shoulder.Cognitive Requirements. Selective attention, oral comprehension, oral expression, speech recognition, speech clarity, written comprehension, written expression, problem sensitivity, deductive reasoning, inductive reasoning, number facility, information ordering, category flexibility, flexibility of closure, fluency of ideas, and originality.Office Conditions. Includes extensive use of electronic devices such as computers, printers, copiers, scanners, plotters, and telephones. Tasks may involve cutting tools and equipment like rotary paper cutters and plotting devices.Outdoor Conditions. Includes walking and climbing on uneven surfaces, confined spaces, and exposure to extreme weather conditions. Potential exposure to high noise levels and various allergens, including poison ivy, sumac, dust, pollen, and cedar. Potential exposure to wildlife hazards such as animals, insects, and plants.Safety and Equipment Use. Regular use of PPE and hand / power tools.Driving and Vehicle Use. May involve driving large pickup trucks with attached trailers, potentially operating watercraft, and extended periods of time.Hours, Location & Eligibility
This is a full-time position, generally 40 hours per week; hours may fluctuate depending on department needs, including overtime.Standard hours : Monday through Friday, 7 : 30 AM to 4 : 30 PM CST. 1-hour unpaid lunch break.
