About the role

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Network Engineer to join our robotic operations communications team. Here at Forterra we are looking for candidates who are interested in staying on the cutting edge as we develop new products that drive the future generation of distributed, software defined battlefield communications. The Network Engineer will act as Forterra's primary technical expert in distributed robotics communications in contested environments.

What you'll do

• Lead and own design of new network architectures, including modeling and assessment of network behaviors across distributed robotic systems.
• Derive hardware and software requirements from high-level concepts / specifications.
• Assist direction of tool development to create scalable insight into live networks.
• Perform networking tests at the component level, subsystem level, and system level.
• Analyze and assess verification and validation results.
• Conduct network analyses to include safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, and system security.
• Be the main point of triage and debugging of in-the-field network challenge concerning our mobile ground robotic platforms.

$150,000 - $175,000

The salary range for this role is an estimate and is based on a wide variety of compensation factors. The salary offered to candidates will vary based on a variety of factors including (but not limited to) relevant work experience, education, specialized training, critical expertise, training, and more.
